Why do I have to struggle so much? Why am I not rich? Why cant I buy the house I really like? Why did my friend say that? Why does God keep punishing me ? Why am I so alone? Why did my boyfriend/girlfriend cheat on me? Why is my boss treating me like this? Why do I have to pay my bills when my friend gets everything handed to her?
Instead of asking why about the things around us and things that we have no control over we need to ask this question about ourselves. Why did we wake up in the morning? why are we living in a condition that we are? why are we in this certain place in our career so on and so forth. When we are struggling in life or not getting where we want to be we tend to blame each and everything in the world except ourselves. I understand that many things are not under our control and we cannot do anything about it but I think we can. We cannot just sit and remorse at the situation that we are in. We need to make sure that we are focusing on what to do next. What is the game plan? Lets talk about a career "why". I am at a certain position in my career. I might not be satisfied with it. If I sit and complain that my employer is not paying me good money, I am unable to do anything, I am stressed, dont get time to myself, its not anyone else mistake, its only mine. We allow people to dictate us and make us how we feel about things. We have to ask that why anyone is making me miserable and stressful. It is because we are letting them do it to us. Why work for a company that makes you feel bad. Leave your job and do something that makes you happy. Thats when you have to take the tough decision. If this current job is making you miserable but paying your bills on time, its up to you to decide. What your passion is might not give you the return right away but anything that is done with perseverance and love you do get the return. You wont feel miserable but you will feel the energy to work harder and to get to where you want to be in life. We need to ask our-self everyday when we stand in front of the mirror that why are we feeling the way we are. Everyday brings some kind of challenges and blaming others for that is no good to us. Its just a way to avoid telling yourself that we need to fix a few things in us.
When I woke up today and saw my bags that I have in my room to prepare for my trip in ten weeks I asked my "Why". Why am I taking 38 days of unpaid time off, going and living on my own with no idea what will happen with me, no idea of the culture and language of that country, my subconscious mind replied to me " You are doing it for you! you deserve to redefine your self" This is my WHY.
